A combination drinking container and straw (10) and method of manufacture. The container (12) has at least one straw retaining member (20) molded into either the outer or inner surface of the container wall (14), or a portion of the wall may be shaped to include a constricted stem. A malleable straw (30) is fitted onto each such retaining member so that at least a portion of the pathway of the straw is defined by the retaining members. A first end of the straw extends into the container and a second end extends upwardly so that beverage may be sipped therefrom. A lid may close the container, the lid may optionally include an aperture to permit passage of the straw, the straw passing through the aperture. Also disclosed is a lidded container wherein the lid is provided with an aperture. A first portion of a drinking straw extends from inside the container, through the hole and to the container's outside to form a hinge for the lid. A second portion of the straw is attached to the container. In this way, the lid remains attached to the straw and container even when removed from the container.
L'invention concerne une combinaison (10) d'un récipient pour boissons et d'une paille ainsi qu'un procédé de fabrication. Le récipient (12) possède au moins un élément de retenue (20) de la paille, qui est moulé dans la surface interne ou externe de la paroi (15) du récipient; en variante, une partie de la paroi peut être formée de manière à enserrer une paille. Une paille malléable (30) est fixée à chacun de ces éléments de fixation de manière à ce qu'au moins une partie de la voie conductrice de la paille soit délimitée par les éléments de retenue. Une première extrémité de la paille fait saillie à l'intérieur du récipient et une deuxième extrémité fait saillie vers le haut afin de permettre à l'utilisateur de siroter une boisson au moyen de cette paille. Le récipient peut être recouvert par un couvercle, ledit couvercle comprenant en option une ouverture permettant d'y introduire la paille. L'invention concerne aussi un récipient à couvercle, le couvercle comportant une ouverture. Une première partie de la paille fait saillie depuis l'intérieur du récipient, à travers le trou et vers l'extérieur du récipient, afin de former forme une charnière pour le couvercle. Une deuxième partie de la paille est fixée au récipient; de cette manière, le couvercle reste attaché à la paille et au récipient même lorsqu'il est enlevé du récipient.
