Two hinge members (20) are pivotally mounted about edges of a clamp (24). Thrust bearings (42) are disposed in recesses in both hinge members for preventing relative movement between the hinge members along the clamp length. Antirotation portions of the bearings, such as a longitudinal key (34) from the clamp engaging a keyway in the bearing, resist rotation of the bearings caused by torque produced by the hinge members on the bearings. The thrust bearings may also have a longitudinal free extension (44) on at least one side of a bearing body (46). The extensions increase the effective length of the bearings, limiting rotation. The extensions can be meshable, overlapping, or lockable with other bearings.

L'invention concerne deux éléments d'articulation (20) qui sont montés pivotants sur les bords d'un dispositif de serrage (24). Des paliers de butée (42) sont placés dans des renfoncements ménagés sur chacun desdits éléments d'articulation, de manière à prévenir tout mouvement relatif entre ces éléments d'articulation le long du dispositif de serrage. Les paliers de butée présentent des parties anti-rotation, par exemple une clavette longitudinale (34) partant du dispositif de serrage et pénétrant dans une rainure pratiquée dans ledit palier de butée, ces parties anti-rotation résistant à la rotation des paliers due au couple exercé par les éléments d'articulation sur ces paliers. Les paliers de butée peuvent également présenter un allongement libre longitudinal (44) sur au moins un coté du corps (46) d'un palier. Ces allongements, qui permettent d'augmenter la longueur efficace de ces paliers et de limiter leur rotation, peuvent en outre s'engrener, se chevaucher, ou se verrouiller à d'autres paliers.
