This invention solves all of the above problems. It is easiest to explain by going through how a user would deploy this invention, then we will explain the invention in detail: 1. obtain our backup server, plug into LAN. 2. For each client machine, install our software. This sofware is primarily a driver that creates a RAID drive partially over a network. That is, the client mahince runs RAID, but only one of the disks is local, the other disk is actually on the server. 3. The server maintains, possibly virtually, a copy of each client disk. 4. The server also communicates with a data center so that the data center also has a copy of client disk (optionally encrypted). 5. The server also keeps all verions of each file. 6. As the server gets updates of a client disk, the data center is updated.
