Concerning the supply of coenzyme Q which is highly useful in maintaining human health, it is intended to provide a method and preparations whereby coenzyme Q can be efficiently supplied to patients having difficulties in oral administration, aged having swallowing difficulties and patients with diseases caused by topical disorders. It is found out that the coenzyme Q concentration in the blood or topical mucosae can be elevated by using compositions for transmucosal administration containing oxidized coenzyme Q and/or reduced coenzyme Q as the active ingredient wherein the total content of the oxidized coenzyme Q and the reduced coenzyme Q amounts to 0.0001 to 99% by weight of the whole compositions.
Cette invention se rapporte à l'administration de coenzyme Q qui est très importante pour le maintien de la santé chez l'homme, et concerne un procédé et des préparations permettant d'assurer un apport efficace de coenzyme Q à des patients pour lesquels une administration orale présente des difficultés, à des personnes âgées éprouvant des difficultés de déglutition et aux patients souffrant de maladies provoquées par des troubles locaux. On a montré qu'on pouvait obtenir une élévation de la concentration de coenzyme Q dans le sang ou dans la muqueuse locale grâce à des compositions destinées à une administration transmucosale, contenant des coenzymes Q oxydées et/ou des coenzymes Q réduites en tant que principe actif, dont la teneur totale en coenzyme Q oxydée ou coenzyme Q réduite représente de 0,0001 à 99 % en poids de la composition totale.
