Systems for treating a vessel bifurcation comprise a bifurcated catheter having a first branch (16a) and a second branch (16b). Each branch defining an exchange region (17) that extends from the distal end of the shaft to the guidewire port of the shaft. The catheter has a radial alignment mechanism which provides improved radial alignment characteristics of at least the exchange region of the branches.

Cette invention se rapporte à des systèmes servant à traiter des vaisseaux présentant une bifurcation et comprenant à cet effet un cathéter fourchu présentant une première branche et une seconde branche. Chaque branche définit une zone d'échange qui s'étend de l'extrémité distale de la tige jusqu'à l'orifice de la tige par lequel passe le fil guide. Ledit cathéter possède un mécanisme d'alignement radial qui assure un alignement radial amélioré de la zone d'échange au moins des branches.
