An apparatus for changing the text portion of logos for postage meters includes a printer module for a fully electronically produced postage meter imprint having an advertising logo, at least one input, a display unit, an input/output control module, a nonvolatile memory for at least unchanging parts of the postage meter imprint, a control device, and a printer control for producing a printed pattern having been formed by a microprocessor-controlled printing process immediately prior to printing of fixed data and current data and being available in buffer-stored form. A first memory region is provided for storing data for the unchanging parts of the postage meter imprint applying at least to a frame of an advertising logo, and an associated name identifying the logo frame. A second memory region is provided for storing data for variable parts of the postage meter imprint applying to at least one logo text portion, and an associated name identifying the logo text portion. A third memory region is provided for storing data for a first association of the names of the logo text portions with the names of the logo frames. A method for changing the text portion of logos for postage meters includes loading agreed-upon types of logos by modem or chip card, selecting a logo frame, editing a text portion of a logo in the postage meter, and composing and displaying a complete view of a postage meter imprint.
L'invention est un appareil servant à modifier la partie texte des logos pour les machines à affranchir. Cet appareil comprend un module d'impression servant à produire électroniquement des imprimés d'affranchissement portant un logo publicitaire, une entrée au moins, une unité d'affichage, un module de contrôle d'entrée-sortie, une mémoire non volatile servant à stocker au moins les portions fixes des imprimés d'affranchissement, un dispositif de commande, et une commande d'impression servant à produire une configuration d'impression créée par un processus d'impression commandé par un microprocesseur immédiatement avant l'impression des données fixes et des données du moment, cette configuration étant obtenue d'un tampon. Une première région de la mémoire est utilisée pour stocker les données des portions fixes de l'imprimé d'affranchissement en rapport avec un bloc au moins du logo publicitaire, ainsi qu'un nom associé au bloc du logo pour l'identifier. Une deuxième région de la mémoire est utilisée pour stocker les données des portions variables de l'imprimé d'affranchissement en rapport avec au moins une portion du texte du logo, ainsi qu'un nom associé à cette portion du texte du logo pour l'identifier. Une troisième région de la mémoire est utilisée pour stocker les données d'association des noms des portions de texte du logo avec les noms des blocs du logo. Est également divulguée une méthode de modification des portions de texte de logo pour les machines à affranchir dans laquelle on charge des types de logo admissibles au moyen d'un modem ou d'une carte à puce, on choisit un bloc de logo, on édite la partie texte du logo dans la machine à affranchir, et on compose et on affiche une vue complète de l'imprimé d'affranchissement.
