Abstract of the Disclosure SULFUR VULCANIZABLE RUBBER COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING N,N'-(M-PHENYLENE)BISMALEIMIDE The present invention relates to sulfur vulcanizable rubber compositions containing a methylene donor and a N,N'-(m-phenylene)bismaleimide. The N,N'-(m-phenylene)bismaleimide is used as a replacement for resorcinol and functions as a methylene acceptor. The sulfur vulcanizable rubber compositions exhibit improved peel adhesion and tear in rubber.
