This invention of toilet seat disinfecting system consists of a toilet seat, disinfecting means and a container to hold the disinfecting means. The container generally matches the toilet seat in shape so that when the container and toilet seat come to close vicinity of each other, disinfection on the toilet seat takes place either automatically or manually. Some versions of this invention employs the seat cover as the disinfectant container. For some versions, the container forms an intermediate disinfecting layer between the toilet seat and toilet basin rim. Some versions have the intermediate disinfecting layer merged with and comprises part of the toilet basin rim.
