Osteogenic sponge compositions having enhanced osteoinductive properties for use in bone repair are described. The compositions include a quickly resorbable porous carrier, a more slowly resorbed mineral scaffold and an osteogenic factor, preferably a bone morphogenetic protein. The compositions enable increased osteoinductive activity while retaining a reliable scaffold for the formation of new bone at an implant site. Methods for therapeutic use of the compositions are also described.

Compositions spongieuses ostéogéniques possédant des propriétés ostéoinductives améliorées afin d'être mises en application pour la régénération osseuse. Ces compositions contiennent un support poreux pouvant se résorber rapidement, un squelette minéral dont la résorption est plus lente et un facteur ostéogénique, de préférence, une protéine morphogénétique osseuse. Ces compositions permettent d'améliorer l'activité ostéoinductive, tout en conservant un squelette résistant pour la formation d'un nouvel os au niveau de l'implant. L'invention concerne également des procédés de mise en application thérapeutique de ces compositions.
