A method of treatment and use of an aqueous coating composition which includes the steps of (a) concentrating the composition to increase the solids content thereof and (b) employing the concentrated composition to coat a sheet material, e.g. paper, wherein the concentration step (a) is carried out by use of thermal evaporation under reduced pressure. The composition concentrated may be a previously employed coating composition which has been recovered or it may be a fresh coating composition.

L'invention concerne un procédé de traitement et d'utilisation d'une composition de revêtement aqueuse comprenant différentes étapes consistant à: a) concentrer la composition afin d'augmenter sa teneur en solides, et b) utiliser la composition concentrée pour recouvrir une feuille, comme par exemple, du papier, dans laquelle l'étape de concentration (a) est effectuée par évaporation thermique sous pression réduite. La composition concentrée peut être une composition de revêtement déjà utilisée et qui a été récupérée ou alors, il peut s'agir d'une nouvelle composition de revêtement.
