An apparatus for transferring a wet paper web from a press nip to a drying cylinder (52) of a papermaking machine, and for structuring the web, comprises an impermeable transfer belt (35) having a web-contacting surface, the wet paper web passing through the press nip enclosed between a press felt (33) and the transfer belt, and a permeable structuring fabric (37) for transfer of the web onto the drying cylinder, the structuring fabric having a structured surface and being arranged in a loop within which a suction transfer device (38) is disposed, said suction transfer device having a suction zone (41). According to the invention the web-contacting surface of the belt has a non-uniform distribution of microscopic-scale depressions, and that the suction zone includes a transfer point (40) spaced a distance D from the press nip along which the belt runs, the belt being arranged to bring the web into contact with the structuring fabric in the suction zone for a length L, such that suction is exerted on the paper web to transfer the paper web from the belt onto the structuring fabric. at the transfer point.
L'invention concerne un appareil pour transférer une bande de papier humide d'une ligne de contact de presse au cylindre de séchage (52) d'une machine à papier et pour structurer la bande. Ledit appareil comporte une courroie de transfert imperméable (35) dont une surface est en contact avec la bande, la bande de papier humide passant à travers la ligne de contact de presse dans un espacement délimité par un feutre de presse (33) et la courroie de transfert. Ledit appareil comporte également un tissu structurant perméable (37) pour le transfert de la bande sur le cylindre de séchage. Ledit tissu structurant présente une surface structurée et est disposé en une boucle dans laquelle est installé un dispositif de transfert par aspiration (38), lequel présente une zone d'aspiration (41). Selon l'invention, la surface de la courroie entrant en contact avec la bande présente une distribution non uniforme de dépressions microscopiques; la zone d'aspiration comporte un point de transfert (40) espacé d'une distance D de la ligne de contact de presse le long de laquelle passe la courroie. La courroie est disposée pour amener la bande en contact avec le tissu structurant dans la zone d'aspiration sur une longueur L, de telle sorte que l'aspiration est exercée sur la bande de papier pour transférer la bande de papier de la courroie sur le tissu structurant au niveau de point de transfert.
