Abstract The invention relates to a data transmission device for a pocket computer having a data transmission modem for the wireless transmission of data, which can be electrically connected to a databus of the pocket com- puter by means of a databus plug and socket device. For simple and convenient handling of the combination of pocket computer and data transmission device, it is provided that the data transmission device has a housing which is suitable for receiving the pocket computer detachably, the databus plug and socket device being arranged on the housing in such a way that it can be pushed into the databus opening of the pocket computer.
