By reacting certain partially sterically-hindered chloro-substituted cycloalkanes with sodium and/or potassium diarylphosphides in an ether reaction medium, not only are useful cycloalkyldiarylphosphines produced, but in addition the chloro-substituted cycloalkane does not undergo any appreciable reaction with the coproduced aryl sodium and/or aryl potassium as it is formed. Moreover, the process makes it possible to avoid or at least to greatly reduce interaction with or cleavage of cyclic ether reaction media such as tetrahydrofuran. Thus the process makes possible improvements both in yield and quality of the cycloalkyldiarylphosphite product. A two-stage process conducted in an ether reaction medium is also described. In the first stage the sodium and/or potassium diarylphosphine reactant is produced by reaction between sodium and/or potassium and triarylphosphine.

En faisant réagir certains cycloalcanes chloro-substitués, à empêchement stérique partiel, avec des diarylphosphides de sodium et/ou de potassium dans un milieu réactionnel éther, on obtient non seulement des cycloalkyldiarylphosphines utiles, mais, de plus, le cycloalcane chloro-substitué ne subit pas de réaction notable avec l'aryle sodium et/ou l'aryle potassium coproduit tel qu'il est formé. De plus, ce procédé permet d'éviter ou au moins de réduire considérablement l'interaction avec ou sans clivage des milieux réactionnels éther cyclique tels que le tétrahydrofuranne. Ce procédé permet donc d'améliorer à la fois le rendement et la qualité du produit de cycloalkyldiarylphosphite. Un procédé en deux étapes effectué dans un milieu réactionnel éther est également décrit. Dans la première étape, le réactant de diarylphosphate de sodium et/ou de potassium est obtenu par réaction entre le sodium et/ou le potassium et triarylphosphine.
