2054768 9113950 PCTABS00007 Lubricating oils which are utilized in two-stroke engines sometimes produce clogging (gelation) in fuel filters. The gelling is particularly pronounced when an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal containing composition is present in the lubricating oil or the fuel. The present invention deals with this particular problem by introducing a hydrocarbon-soluble or dispersible polycarboxylic acid to the fuel and oil mixture.
