An input bearing adjuster system includes a differential carrier assembly having a set of threads (14) on an interior surface and an input bearing adjuster (16) having a complementary set of threads (18) on an exterior surface. The system also includes an input bearing system (20) of a differential which includes an outer race (26) in contact with the input bearing adjuster (16) and an inner race (24) in contact with an input shaft (28) and an input bearing (22). Additionally, a locking mechanism (30) is used to selectively secure the input bearing adjuster to the differential carrier. The threads of the bearing adjuster (16) are engaged with the threads (14) of the differencial carrier to adjust both the preload and/or the endplay of the input bearing (22).

L'invention a pour objet un système de réglage de palier d'entrée comprenant un ensemble porteur différentiel ayant un ensemble de filets (14) ménagés sur une surface interne et un organe de réglage (16) de palier d'entrée ayant un ensemble complémentaire de filets (18) ménagés sur une surface externe. Le système comprend également un système de palier d'entrée (20) d'un différentiel contenant une course externe (26) en contact avec l'organe de réglage (16) de palier d'entrée et une course interne (24) en contact avec l'arbre d'entrée (28) et un palier d'entrée (22). Par ailleurs, un mécanisme de blocage (38) sert à fixer par sélection l'organe de réglage de palier d'entrée sur le support différentiel. Les filets de l'organe de réglage (16) sont engagés dans les filets (14) du support différentiel afin de régler à la fois la précharge et/ou le jeu axial du palier d'entrée (22).
