A method is disclosed to holographically mark an object in a way that the mark cannot be removed, reproduced or transferred covertly. The mark can be read from a distance so that the part can be verified as the one and only original. The mark is applied to an undulating or rough surface of the object. The method requires that a reference wave be reflected from the surface and holographically recorded (9). This wave is than regenerated so that it travels in the opposite direction (12). This regenerated wave is itself reflected from the surface to form a collimated reference wave (13) which, together with an object wave (14), is used to form the holographic mark. The recorded image cannot be observed without the presence of the surface itself.
L'invention concerne un procédé de marquage holographique d'un objet de sorte que la marque ne puisse être enlevée, reproduite ou transférée frauduleusement. La marque peut être lue à une certaine distance de sorte que la pièce puisse être vérifiée et reconnue comme le seul et unique original. La marque est appliquée sur une surface ondulée ou irrégulière de l'objet, une onde de référence devant être réfléchie par la surface et enregistrée de manière holographique (9). Cette onde est ensuite régénérée de sorte qu'elle se déplace dans la direction opposée (12). Cette onde régénérée est elle-même réfléchie par la surface pour former une onde de référence collimatée (13) qui, conjointement avec une onde objet (14), est utilisée pour former la marque holographique, l'image enregistrée n'étant pas visible en l'absence de la surface elle-même.
