A pharmaceutical composition for parenteral administration, comprising liposomes composed of non-charged vesicle-forming lipids, optionally including not more than 5 mole percent of charged vesicle-forming lipids, the liposomes having a selected mean particle diameter in the size range between about 40 - 200 nm and containing a water soluble corticosteroid for the site-specific treatment of inflammatory disorders, is provided.

La présente invention concerne une composition pharmaceutique pour administration parentérale, qui comprend des liposomes composés de lipides formant des vésicules non chargés, comprenant éventuellement pas plus de 5 % mol. de lipides formant des vésicules chargés. Lesdits liposomes présentent un diamètre particulaire moyen choisi, situé entre 40 et 200 nm, et contiennent un corticostéroïde hydrosoluble pour le traitement dirigé de troubles inflammatoires.
