L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un matériau composite formé d'une matière organique renforcée par des fils de verre. L'invention consiste à associer une matière organique et des fils de verre revêtus d'un ensimage constitué d'une solution dont la teneur en solvant est inférieure à 5 % en poids, ladite solution comprenant un mélange de composants polymérisables et/ou réticulables par traitement thermique, lesdits composants étant pour au moins 60 % d'entre eux des composants dont la masse moléculaire est inférieure à 750, et de 0 à 25 % en poids d'agents de pontage, d'agents lubrifiants, d'agents stabilisants, d'amorceurs et/ou de catalyseurs de polymérisation, lesdits agents et amorceurs étant éventuellement polymérisables et/ou réticulables, ledit ensimage n'étant pas polymérisé, puis àsoumettre l'ensemble à un traitement thermique et/ou à l'action d'un rayonnement actinique.
