A filter for removing soot from engine bleed air includes a sintered metal filter medium. In a preferred embodiment, the sintered metal medium comprises a fiber metal medium having a voids volume of about 50 to about 95 % and containing fibers with a diameter in the range from about 1 to about 150 µm. The fiber metal medium may include fibers formed by melt overflow casting. The filter can effectively remove soot particles of 1 to 5 µm from bleed air even at very low flow rates.
L'invention a pour objet un filtre pour retirer la suie de l'air de prélèvement réacteur. Ce filtre comprend un moyen de filtration en métal fritté. Dans un mode de réalisation préféré, ce moyen de filtration en métal fritté se compose d'un moyen métallique fibreux présentant un volume de vide compris entre 50 et 95 % environ, et contenant des fibres dont le diamètre se situe entre 1 et 150 mu m environ. Le moyen métallique fibreux peut comprendre des fibres formées par coulage par débordement en fusion. Le filtre permet de retirer, avec efficacité, des particules de suie de 1 à 5 mu m de l'air de prélèvement réacteur, même à de très faibles vitesses d'écoulement.
