Compounds of the formula (I) (see fig. I) wherein n is a number from 1 to 20; the radicals R1 are independently of one another hydrogen, C1-C8alkyl, -O, -OH, -CH2CN, C1-C18alkoxy, C5-C12cycloalkoxy, C3-C6alkenyl, C7-C9phenylalkyl which isunsubstituted or substituted on the phenyl by 1, 2 or 3 C1-C4alkyl; or C1-C8acyl; R2 has one of the meanings given for R1; X is C2-C10alkylene; and Y is -O- or >NH; with the proviso that in the individual recurrent units of the formula (I), each of the radicals R1, R2, X and Y has the same or different definitions; are very effective as light stabilizers, heat stabilizers and oxidation stabilizers for organic materials, in particular synthetic polymers.

I) où n est un nombre compris entre 1 et 20; les radicaux R1 sont choisis indépendamment dans le groupe suivant : hydrogène, alkyle en C1-C8, -O, -OH, -CH2CN, alkoxy en C1-C18, cycloalkoxy en C5-C12, alkényle en C3-C6, phénylalkyle en C7-C9, dont le groupe phényle est substitué ou non par 1, 2 ou 3 groupes alkyle en C1-C4; ou acyle en C1-C8; R2 a l'une des définitions attribuées à R1; X est un groupe alkylène en C2-C10; et Y est -O- ou >NH; toutefois, dans le cas des unités récurrentes particulières de la formule (I), chacun des radicaux R1, R2, X et Y a la même définition ou une définition différente. Ces composés sont très efficaces comme anti-U.V., comme stabilisants thermiques et comme antioxydants pour les matières organiques, et particulièrement pour les polymères synthétiques.
