A process for making a polyethylene having long chain branching by providing ethylene and optionally an alpha olefin having 3 to 18 carbon atoms in a reaction zone containing a metallocene polymerization catalyst under polymerization conditions in the presence of a hydrocarbon interlinking compound in an amount sufficient to provide chain entanglement or long chain branching.
