The present invention provides an improved coating material for use with particles, such as enzyme granules, and the like. In particular, the present invention provides a modified PVA, as well as particles or granules that include such coating. The PVA is modified by substituting hydrophilic moieties for the hydroxyl or alcohol groups of the PVA. Substitution may be achieved with hydrophilic acids, amines, thiols, or combinations thereof. Detergent compositions comprising said particles with coating in combination with borates or perborates.

L'invention concerne un matériau de revêtement amélioré servant pour des particules, comme des granulés d'enzyme et des éléments semblables. L'invention concerne en particulier un PVAL modifié, ainsi que des particules ou des granulés qui contient un tel revêtement. On modifie ce PVAL en substituant des entités hydrophiliques pour les groupes alcool et hydroxyl dudit PVAL. On peut réaliser cette substitution grâce à des acides hydrophiliques, des amines, des thiols ou encore des combinaisons de ceux-ci.
