The invention relates to a hollow profile bar (10), especially consisting of extruded metal comprising a tubular wall (11) which is equally thick all around. The tubular wall (11) is provided with protruding outer webs (12) which are distributed equally over the outer circumference. Pairs of said outer webs (12) form undercut casing grooves (14) with the sidewalls (13) the thickness of a radial protuberance (15) of the outer webs (12) which protrudes from the tubular wall (11) being almost equal to the thickness (16) of the tubular wall (11). The aim of the invention is to tightly pack profile bars that are to be connected in a cross-section of a hollow profile bar (10). To this end, the hollow profile bar is configured in such a way that the anticlinal axes (17, 17') of the side walls (13) of one outer web (12) intersect between said outer web (12) and the axis of the bar (18).

Barreau profilé creux (10), en particulier en métal extrudé, comportant, sur son pourtour, une paroi tubulaire d'égale épaisseur (11), présentant des nervures externes (12), en saillie, réparties régulièrement sur sa périphérie, formant, par paires avec les parois latérales (13), des rainures génératrices de contre-dépouille (14), une saillie radiale (15) de la nervure externe (12) à partir de la paroi tubulaire (11) étant pratiquement égale à son épaisseur. En vue d'obtenir, dans un plan de coupe d'un barreau profilé (10), une garniture dense de barreaux profilés à raccorder, le barreau profilé creux est caractérisé en ce que des lignes de pente (17, 17') des parois latérales (13) d'une nervure externe (12) se coupent entre cette nervure et l'axe du barreau (18).
