L'invention concerne un nouveau procédé de préparation de dicarbonate de ditertioalcoyle, et notamment du dicarbonate de ditertiobutyle, sans emploi du phosgène et avec des bons rendements. Selon ce procédé, on fait réagir un pyrocarbonate de tertioalcoyle avec un halogénure d'acide de préférence constitué par du chlorure de trichloroacétyle ou de dichloroacétyle, en présence d'un agent complexant de préférence constitué par une amine tertiaire oxygénée ou un polyéther oxygéné, soufré, cyclique ou macrocyclique.
