The invention comprises a system and method for executing a first command in a software application. In a preferred embodiment, a virtual printer device (17) is installed on a computing device that operates the software application. The virtual printer device (17) is selected in the computing device for printing, and a second command to print content in the software application is issued by a user and received by the computing device. The first command is executed on the computing device as a function of receiving the second command to print the content.
