ABSTRACT A method for manufacturing a composite panel able to be used for flooring which comprises applying a layer of a mixture of resin and solid aggregate to a base sheet, applying a top sheet to the applied layer, then feeding the sheets and aggregate through compression rollers to compact the aggregate, then curing the aggregate to form the panel. An apparatus having special compression and finishing rollers is also disclosed.
