The present invention relates to a system and method for reservation of services available in a residential computer network, which residential computer network includes a plurality of clients (65), controlled by a central host server (10, 15). The system comprises a service gateway (70), which via an access network (20, 30) is in bi-directional connection with the central host server (10, 15), at least one client, such as a communication terminal (65) with a display unit (67), accessing the central host server (10, 15) via the service gateway (70), and a calendar function with a schedule of planned appointments and activities, the function hosted by the central host server (10, 15), retrieved and displayed on the display unit (67) of the communication terminal (65). Moreover, the system is characterised in that a booking function is arranged with a schedule of reservations of common resources, the function hosted by the central host server (10, 15), retrieved and displayed on the display unit (67) of the communication terminal (65), and information residing in the central host server (10, 15) about calendar and booking schedules is integrated and displayed in a co-ordinated way on the display unit (67) of the communication terminal (67), so as to optimise the usability of the organising tools and avoid double-bookings of common resources.
La présente invention concerne un système et un procédé de réservation de services disponibles dans un réseau informatique résidentiel comprenant une pluralité de clients (65), ledit réseau étant contrôlé par un serveur hôte central (10, 15). Ce système comprend une passerelle de services (70) en connexion bidirectionnelle avec le serveur hôte central (10, 15) par l'intermédiaire d'un réseau d'accès (20, 30), au moins un client, tel qu'un terminal de communication (65) équipé d'une unité d'affichage (67) et pouvant accéder au serveur hôte central (10, 15) par l'intermédiaire de la passerelle de services (70), ainsi qu'une fonction de calendrier dotée d'un programme d'activités et de rendez-vous planifiés, ladite fonction étant hébergée par le serveur hôte central (10, 15), récupérée et affichée sur l'unité d'affichage (67) du terminal de communication (65). Par ailleurs, ledit système se caractérise en ce qu'une fonction de réservation est conçue avec un programme de réservation de ressources communes, cette fonction étant hébergée par le serveur hôte central (10, 15), récupérée et affichée sur l'unité d'affichage (67) du terminal de communication (65). Les informations résidant dans le serveur hôte central (10, 15) et concernant le calendrier et les programmes de réservation sont intégrées et affichées de manière coordonnée sur l'unité d'affichage (67) du terminal de communication de façon à optimiser la convivialité des outils d'organisation et à éviter des réservations redondantes de ressources communes.
