Pharmaceutical formulations and dosage forms are provided having improved stability to moisture-induced degradation when compared with conventional dosage forms, especially tablets. The invention features low compression forms of thyroid drugs together with excipients, preferably in encapsulated forms. In other embodiments, relatively non-volatile oils can be admixed with the drug and/or the excipients to stabilize the formulation toward moisture- induced degradation. Hydrophobic powders are also optionally added to the formulations.
L'invention concerne des formulations pharmaceutiques et des formes galéniques possédant une meilleure stabilité à l'égard de la dégradation induite par l'humidité, par rapport à des formes galéniques classiques, notamment par rapport à des comprimés. L'invention concerne des formes de médicaments thyroïdiens que l'on a faiblement comprimées avec des excipients, de préférence sous forme encapsulée. Dans d'autres modes de réalisation, on peut ajouter des huiles relativement non volatiles au médicament et/ou aux excipients afin de stabiliser la formulation à l'égard de la dégradation induite par l'humidité. Le cas échéant, il est également possible d'ajouter des poudres hydrophobes aux formulations.
