A polymeric film structure exhibiting improved barrier properties and which is formed in the absence of a primer. The film structure is produced by coating a surface of a polymeric substrate with a solution of a polyvinyl alcohol-vinyl amine copolymer, an aldehyde-containing crosslinking agent and a crosslinking promoting acid catalyst.

Structure de film polymère présentant des caractéristiques améliorées de barrière et qui est formé en l'absence de couche primaire. La structure du film est obtenue par l'enduction d'une surface de support polymère d'une solution de copolymère d'amine vinylique-alcool polyvinylique, d'un agent réticulant contenant de l'aldéhyde et d'un catalyseur acide accélérateur de réticulation.
