The loss of activity of bleach-containing detergent tablets containing builders, bleaching agents and other typical ingredients can be distinctly improved if the water absorption of the tablet after storage in the open for one week at 30°C/80% relative air humidity is more than 2 g per 10 g. In the case of enzyme-containing detergent tablets containing builders, enzymes and other typical ingredients, storage stability can be distinctly improved if the water absorption of the tablet after storage in the open for one week at 30°C/80% relative air humidity is less than 2 g per 10 g. Accordingly, enzyme- and bleach-containing detergent tablets are advantageously formulated as multiple-phase tablets, one phase containing the enzyme and another phase containing the bleaching agent and both phases having different water absorption values.
