CONCENTRATED MAGNESIUM HYDROXIDE SUSPENSIONS OR EMULSIONS AND METHOD FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A pharmaceutically elegant concentrated milk of mag- nesia suspension or emulsion of flowable consistency having as essential ingredients magnesium hydroxide paste and an effective amount of a water soluble pharmaceutically acceptable agent, said agent being an alkali metal or ammonium salt of a phos- phoric acid, an alkali metal or ammonium salt of a polycarboxy- lic acid and/or an alkaline earth salt of a polycarboxylic acid, the effective amount of said agent being such that the composi- tion has a flowable consistency. A method for making a magnesium hydroxide paste into a composition of flowable consistency wherein the effective amount of the above-mentioned agent is determined, the agent is predis- solved, the paste added thereto and the combination admixture, the -; resultant mixture having a flowable consistency. - 1 -
