The present invention is in the field of plant genetics and provides methods for increasing gene expression of a target gene in a plant or part thereof. In addition the invention relates to methods for modifying the specificity of plant specific promoters and for engineering small non-coding activating RNA (sncaRNA) in order to increase expression of a target gene in a plant or part thereof. The present invention also provides methods for the identification of sncaRNA, and its primary transcripts in a plant capable of increasing gene expression in a plant or part thereof.

L'invention concerne la génétique des plantes ainsi que des procédés d'amélioration de l'expression génétique d'un gène cible dans une plante ou dans une de ses parties. De plus, l'invention concerne des procédés pour modifier la spécificité des promoteurs spécifiques des plantes et pour produire un petit ARN activant non codant (snca ARN) de manière à améliorer l'expression d'un gène cible dans une plante ou dans une de ses parties. L'invention concerne également l'identification dudit ARNsnca, et ses transcrits primaires dans une plante capables d'améliorer l'expression du gène dans une plante ou dans une de ses parties.
