An FCC process and apparatus comprising an enlarged riser section (22) and a distributor (12) in an elevated position and with an opening (86) in its tip (88) away from a riser wall (23) may reduce coke build-up along the interior walls of a riser (20). Catalytic mixing may be improved, which could reduce riser coking by increasing hydrocarbon contact with catalyst before contacting the riser wall. Increasing the distance between the introduction of the hydrocarbon and the riser wall may increase this likelihood for hydrocarbon-catalyst contact. Highly contaminated hydrocarbons cause greater coking than do normal hydrocarbons, and this FCC process and apparatus may be effective in decreasing riser coking on heavy hydrocarbons.
Procédé et appareil FCC comprenant un tronçon de riser élargi (22) et un distributeur (12) en position élevée dont le bout (88) comporte une ouverture (86) éloignée d'une paroi (23) de riser, permettant de réduire l'accumulation de coke le long des parois intérieures d'un riser (20). L'invention permet d'améliorer le mélange catalytique et donc de réduire le cokage du riser du fait du contact accru entre les hydrocarbures et le catalyseur avant que le mélange n'entre au contact de la paroi du riser. L'augmentation de la distance séparant le point d'introduction des hydrocarbures et le riser permet d'augmenter la probabilité d'un contact entre les hydrocarbures et le catalyseur. Les hydrocarbures fortement contaminés produisant un cokage plus important que les hydrocarbures normaux, le procédé et l'appareil FCC de l'invention peuvent servir à réduire le cokage du riser pour des hydrocarbures lourds.
