The invention relates to an oral antimicrobial composition and to the use thereof in the treatment of dental plaque and gingivitis. The inventive composition is characterised in that it comprises: between 0.5 and 2 wt.- % active carbon as a surface active agent, between 2 and 3 wt.- % Carbopol 934 as a thickening agent, between 0.05 and 6 wt.- % flavouring agents and between 0.01 and 40 wt.- % sweetening agents.

L'invention concerne une composition orale antimicrobienne et son utilisation dans le traitement de la plaque dentaire et de la gingivite. Cette composition est caractérisée en ce qu'elle comprend : de 0,5 à 2 % en poids de charbon actif comme tensioactif ; de 2 % à 3 % en poids de carbonyle 934 comme agglutinant ; de 0,05 à 6 % en poids d'aromatisants ; et 0,01 à 40 % en poids d'édulcorants.
