This method re- quires contacting the cell with a suitable ret- roviral vector containing a nucleic acid en- coding a gene product having a tumor sup- pressive function. Also provided by this in- vention is a method for treating a pathology in a subject caused by the absence of, or the presence of a pathologically mutated tumor suppressor gene.
