This invention relates to the synthesis of dithiocarboxylic acid esters by reaction of bis(thioacyl) disulphides, thioacetals or vinylidene bis(thioether) with free-radicals (optionally in the presence of monomers). The invention also relates to processes for the synthesis of polymers utilising these dithioesters as polymerisation regulators (chain transfer agents) or to the use of bis(thioacyl) disulphides to generate dithioester chain transfer agents in situ.

La présente invention concerne la synthèse d'esters d'acide dithiocarboxylique par réaction de di(thioacyle) bisulfures, de thioacétales ou de vinyldiène di(thioéther) avec des radicaux libres, éventuellement en présence de monomères. L'invention concerne également un procédé permettant de faire la synthèse de polymères en utilisant ces dithioesters comme régulateurs de polymérisation (agents de migration de chaîne) ou l'utilisation de di(thioacyle) bisulfures pour générer in-situ des agents de migration de chaîne dithioester.
