A microcapsule which is able to stably retain a benefit agent such as a volatile substance for an extended period, and which is also suitable for encapsulating fragrances and the like. Such capsule encapsulates a mixture comprising a volatile substance, and an additive that has a higher melting point than the volatile substance and is able to undergo mutual dissolution with the volatile substance, wherein the mixture exhibits a melting point range, and a portion of, or all of, that melting point range falls within a range from - 20 to 60~C. The present invention also relates to consumer products including cleaning and/or treatment compositions comprising such microcapsules, and processes of making and using same.

L~invention concerne une microcapsule capable de retenir de manière stable un agent bénéfique, tel qu~une substance volatile, pendant une durée prolongée, et étant également adaptée pour l~encapsulation de fragrances et de composés analogues. Une telle capsule renferme un mélange comprenant une substance volatile, et un additif présentant un point de fusion plus élevé que la substance volatile et étant capable de subir une dissolution mutuelle avec la substance volatile, ledit mélange présentant une gamme de points de fusion, une partie, ou l~ensemble, de cette gamme étant comprise entre - 20 et 60 °C. La présente invention concerne également des produits de consommation incluant des compositions de nettoyage et/ou de traitement comprenant de telles microcapsules, ainsi que des procédés de fabrication et d~utilisation de ces microcapsules.
