A method for separating a blood component, e.g., fibrin monomer, from blood or plasma. The method utilizes a container with a reaction chamber for receiving the plasma. The reaction chamber is defined by a wall and an agent is supplied to the reaction chamber for converting the fibrinogen content of the plasma into a non-cross-linked fibrin polymer. The method also utilizes a device for centrifuging the reaction chamber with the plasma and the agent to a degree sufficient for separating the non-cross-linked fibrin polymer from the plasma, for depositing the polymer on the outer wall of the reaction chamber, and for expelling the remaining plasma from the reaction chamber. A solvent is supplied to the reaction chamber for dissolving the non-cross-linked fibrin polymer. The solvent is supplied to the reaction chamber in a first amount for dissolving the non-cross-linked fibrin polymer which is less than the total amount of solvent for dissolving the polymer. The remaining solvent is supplied to the reaction chamber in one or more portions to flush the reaction chamber and other portions of the device and recover additional non-cross- linked fibrin polymer.
L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de séparer un composant sanguin, par exemple un monomère de fibrine, du sang ou du plasma. Ce procédé fait intervenir un récipient pourvu d'une chambre de réaction destiné à recevoir le plasma. Cette chambre de réaction est définie par une paroi. On introduit un agent dans cette chambre de réaction afin de transformer le fibrinogène du plasma en un polymère de fibrine non réticulé. Ce procédé fait également intervenir un dispositif permettant de centrifuger la chambre de réaction avec le plasma et l'agent jusqu'à un degré suffisant pour séparer le polymère de fibrine non réticulé du plasma, permettant également de déposer le polymère sur la paroi extérieure de la chambre de réaction et d'expulser le plasma restant de la chambre de réaction. On introduit un solvant dans la chambre de réaction afin de dissoudre le polymère de fibrine non réticulé. Ce solvant est introduit dans la chambre de réaction en une première quantité afin de dissoudre le polymère de fibrine non réticulé, cette quantité étant inférieure à la quantité totale de solvant nécessaire à la dissolution du polymère. On introduit le reste du solvant dans la chambre de réaction en une ou plusieurs parties afin de rincer la chambre de réaction et d'autres parties du dispositif et de récupérer le polymère de fibrine non réticulé restant.
