A barrier of flat sheet material is provided between ganged electrical outlet boxes to provide a plurality of physically separated compartments. Adjacent boxes may contain devices connected to cables carrying different electrical potentials, the barrier meeting the requirement of various Electrical Codes that prohibit such devices being mounted in one box with no barrier between them. Heretofore separate boxes have been used which are difficult to mount close together in a wall structure and are often mounted on separate wall studs. Several types of barriers are disclosed.
