A method for encoding a frame in an encoder of a communication system, said method comprising the steps of: calculating a first set of parameters associated with the frame, wherein said first set of parameters comprises filter bank parameters; selecting, in a first stage, one of a plurality of encoding methods based on the first set of parameters one of modes for encoding; calculating a second set of parameters associated with the frame; selecting, in a second stage, one of the plurality of encoding methods based on the result of the first stage selection and the second set of parameters one of modes for encoding; and encoding the frame using the selected encoding excitation method from the second stage.
L'invention concerne un procédé de codage d'une trame dans un codeur d'un système de communication, ledit procédé consistant : à calculer un premier ensemble de paramètres associés à la trame, ledit premier ensemble de paramètres comprenant des paramètres de batterie de filtres ; à sélectionner, lors d'une première étape, un procédé parmi une pluralité de procédés de codage en fonction du premier ensemble de paramètres ; à calculer un second ensemble de paramètres associés à la trame ; à sélectionner, lors d'une seconde étape, un procédé parmi la pluralité de procédés de codage en fonction du résultat de la sélection lors de la première étape et du second ensemble de paramètres ; et à coder la trame à l'aide du procédé d'excitation de codage sélectionné lors de la seconde étape.
