An. Impeller blade for the rotor of an axial flow combine harvester is shaped such that an outer blade portion has a shape of the blade portion defining an inclined edge which joins a forward blade edge lying in a radial plane of the rotor at a first position spaced outwardly from the hub of the rotor and joins the outer blade edge at a second position spaced rearwardly of the first position, the inclined edge having at least a part thereof which is substantially straight and parallel to an inner blade edge so as to be inclined at an angle to the outer blade edge and extend outwardly and rearwardly from the first position to the second position such that the radial distance of the second position from the axis is greater than that of the first position. This reduces the length of the forward edge to 50% to 75% of its conventional length and acts to overcome a long standing feeding problem of thistype of rotor in some crops.

Elle est configurée de manière que la forme de sa partie extérieure définisse une arête inclinée qui rejoint l'arête avant de l'aube se prolongeant dans le plan radial du rotor à un premier emplacement éloigné vers l'extérieur, par rapport au moyeu du rotor, et qui rejoint l'arête extérieure de l'aube à un deuxième emplacement éloigné vers l'arrière, par rapport au premier; l'arête inclinée a au moins une partie qui est essentiellement droite et parallèle par rapport à l'arête d'aube intérieure pour obtenir un angle d'inclinaison par rapport au bord de l'arête d'aube extérieure et pour s'étendre vers l'extérieur et vers l'arrière à partir du premier emplacement jusqu'au deuxième afin que la distance radiale séparant le deuxième emplacement de l'axe soit plus grande que la distance radiale séparant le prmier emplacement de l'axe. L'aube permet de diminuer de 50 à 75 % la longueur habituelle de l'arête avant et elle contribue à résoudre le problème d'alimentation qu'éprouvent depuis fort longtemps les rotors de ce type pour certaines récoltes.
