A bearing support structure is disclosed for a turret (10A) mounted for rotation within a well (50A) of a moored vessel. The bearing support structure has a turret bearing assembly (900A) which may tilt about a tilting axis (783A) relative to a lower bearing support structure (764A) mounted on the vessel. The turret bearing assembly (760A) has a retainer ring (794A) below a peripheral slot (782A) in a turret ring (102A); a segmented key (596A) fits in slot (782A). The retainer ring (794A) is supported on an annular abutment (780A) on turret ring (102A). A filler material (781A) is provided in an annular space or clearance between turret ring (102A) and retainer ring (794A) to tighten the joint therebetween. A construction method is also disclosed for first placing a mooring turret in the well of the vessel and later installing a bearing assembly between the vessel and the turret by lowering it over the top of the turret.

La présente invention concerne une structure de surface d'appui pour une tourelle (10A) montée rotative dans le puits (50A) d'un navire amarré. Ladite structure de surface d'appui est munie d'un ensemble de support de tourelle (900A) qui peut basculer autour d'un axe de basculement (783A) par rapport à une structure de surface d'appui inférieure (764A) montée sur le navire. L'ensemble de support de tourelle (760A) est muni d'un anneau de retenue (794A) placé sous une rainure périphérique (782A) formée dans un anneau de tourelle (102A), dans laquelle s'insère une clavette segmentée (596A). L'anneau de retenue (794A) est soutenu par une butée annulaire (780A) formée sur l'anneau de tourelle (102A). Une matière d'apport (781A) est distribuée dans l'espace ou l'écartement entre l'anneau de tourelle (102A) et l'anneau de retenue (794A) afin de resserrer le joint entre ces deux éléments. On décrit également un procédé de construction permettant de placer d'abord une tourelle d'amarrage dans le puits d'un navire et d'installer ensuite l'ensemble de support entre le navire et la tourelle en faisant descendre et passer l'ensemble de support par-dessus le sommet de la tourelle.
