The CARDIO AND GLUTEUS MAXIMUS (BUTTOCK) EXERCISE APPARATUS (GLUTEMAX CARDIO) provides a low impact cardio and/or weight training (resistance) workout to the user while eliminating shock impacts to the knees, lower legs and feet while exercising the gluteus maximus and upper thigh muscles. Besides general use, it may benefit users with leg or foot injuries (rehabilitation), conditions, amputations, or mobility problems (ie.: morbidly obese). It has a frame, a slanted seat on frame, two thighbeams attached to the seat, actuated by the downward pressing of one thighbeam by muscles located in the gluteus maximus and upper thigh area, pushing a connecting rod attached to a crank arm actuating a crank shaft mechanism (or suitable device) of which the downward motion of one thighbeam actuates the upward motion of the second thighbeam. A suitable resistance device provides tension. Sleeves may be attached to ends of thighbeams to stabilize lower legs.
