A process for the production of rigid polyurethane foams is provided which comprises the reaction of (1) an organic polyisocyanate; (2) an isocyanate- reactive composition containing a plurality of isocyanate-reactive groups; and (3) a blowing agent comprising isopentane and n-pentane in a ratio of 99:1 to more than 80:20 parts by weight under foam foaming conditions.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour produire des mousses rigides de polyuréthane consistant à faire réagir (1) un polyisocyanate organique; (2) une composition réagissant avec les groupes isocyanate, contenant une pluralité de groupes réagissant avec les isocyanates; et (3) un agent gonflant comprenant de l'isopentane et du n-pentane dans un rapport molaire dans la plage de 99:1 à plus de 80:20 en poids. La réaction se fait dans des conditions où l'agent gonflant forme une mousse.
