A method of producing a phase mask for fabricating optical fiber, which minimizes splicing error that deteriorates wavelength selectivity of the optical fiber diffraction grating that is to be fabricated, wherein, in the step of exposure to light, a phase mask blank (10) is placed on a drawing stage (5) which is continuously fed in one direction while successively scanning with a drawing beam (14) the phase mask blank portion corresponding to recessed grooves (26) or protuberances (27) which are at right angles with the direction of feed, thus continously drawing the whole drawing region of the phase mask blank (10).
Cette invention concerne un procédé de production d'un masque de phase destiné à la fabrication d'une fibre optique, qui minimise les erreurs d'épissures susceptibles de détériorer la capacité de sélection de longueur d'onde du réseau de diffraction de la fibre optique en cours de fabrication. Selon ce procédé, dans une étape d'exposition à la lumière, une ébauche (10) de masque de phase est placée sur un étage (5) de formation de motifs que l'on déplace en continu dans une direction tout en balayant progressivement avec un faisceau (14) de formation de motifs la partie de l'ébauche du masque de phase correspondant aux gorges (26) ou aux protubérances (27) qui forment un angle droit avec la direction de déplacement, ce qui assure la formation de motifs en continu sur toute la région destinée à recevoir des motifs de l'ébauche (10) du masque de phase.
