The invention concerns a method for coating a carbon black with an adhesive layer of aluminium oxide and/or hydroxide, consisting in the following steps: a) impregnating the carbon black with a colloidal suspension formed by hydrolysis of an aluminium alkoxide in an alcoholic solvent; b) eliminating the alcoholic solvent by evaporation; c) subjecting the resulting impregnated carbon black to a heat treatment so as to transform the aluminous layer present at its surface into an adhesive layer of aluminium oxide and/or hydroxide. The invention also concerns the carbon black obtainable by such a method.
Procédé pour recouvrir un noir de carbone d'une couche adhérente d'oxyde et/ou hydroxyde d'aluminium, ce procédé comportant les étapes suivantes: a) on imprègne le noir de carbone d'une suspension colloïdale formée par hydrolyse d'une solution d'alkoxyde d'aluminium dans un solvant alcoolique; b) on élimine le solvant alcoolique par évaporation; c) on traite thermiquement le noir ainsi imprégné de manière à transformer la couche alumineuse présente à sa surface en une couche adhérente d'oxyde et/ou hydroxyde d'aluminium. Noir de carbone susceptible d'être obtenu selon un tel procédé.
