The present invention relates to methods and arrangements for handling UE capability information a mobile telecommunications network wherein an eNodeB (100) receives (60) information regarding the UE capability information from the UE (120) and stores (70) the information. The eNodeB (100) sends (80) the UE capability information to the EPC, i.e. the MME (130). The MME (130) receives and stores (90) the UE capability information. When the UE (120) transits from idle to active state, does an initial attach or when a part of the UE capabilities have changed, it sends (10) a message Ma to the eNodeB (100) regarding the update. The eNodeB (100) receives the message and sends (20) it to the MME (130). The MME (130) sends (30) a response associated with the previously stored UE capability information to the eNodeB (100). The eNodeB (100) decides (40) if the UE capabilities stored in the MME (130) is up-to-date based on the message sent from the UE (120) and the received response from the MME (130). If the UE (120) holds updated UE capabilities the eNodeB (100) could request (50) updated UE capability information from the UE (120).
La présente invention concerne des procédés et des configurations pour la manipulation d'informations de fonctionnalité d'équipements d'utilisateurs (UE) dans un réseau de télécommunications mobiles. Une station de base enrichie en fonctionnalités (eNodeB) (100) reçoit (60) selon l'invention, des informations concernant les informations de fonctionnalité d'UE en provenance de l'UE (120) et mémorise (70) ces informations. L'eNodeB (100) envoie (80) les informations de fonctionnalité d'UE à l'EPC, c'est-à-dire au MME (130). Le MME (130) reçoit et mémorise (90) les informations de fonctionnalité d'UE. Lorsque l'UE (120) passe de l'état de repos à l'état actif, effectue un rattachement initial ou lorsqu'une partie des fonctionnalités de l'UE ont changé, il envoie (10) un message Ma à l'eNodeB (100) concernant la mise à jour. L'eNodeB (100) reçoit le message et l'envoie (20) au MME (130). Le MME (130) envoie (30) à l'eNodeB (100) une réponse associée aux informations de fonctionnalité d'UE mémorisées précédemment. L'eNodeB (100) décide (40) si les fonctionnalités de l'UE mémorisées au niveau du MME (130) sont à jour, sur la base du message envoyé depuis l'UE (120) et de la réponse reçue du MME (130). Si l'UE (120) possède des fonctionnalités d'UE mises à jour, l'eNodeB (100) peut demander (50) à l'UE (120) des informations de fonctionnalité d'UE mises à jour.
