ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A silver halide photographiclight-sensitive material is disclosed, which is capable of forming a extremely high contrast image with high dot quality and is inhibited in formation of pepper spots. The light-sensitive material comprises a support, provided thereon, a photographic layer including a silver halide emulsion layer, wherein the pH value of the surface of said photographic layer is 5.9 or more and said emulsion layer or a layer adjacent to said emulsion layer contains a specified hydrazine compound, and a amine coumound or a quartenary onium compound.
