A method and apparatus for acquiring and removing information regarding a digital rights object are provided. The method for acquiring removing information regarding a digital rights object includes receiving a request for data on a rights object from a device, processing the data on the rights object in response to the request, and providing the processed data to the device. The method of removing a digital rights object includes selecting information regarding a rights object to be removed, encrypting the selected information regarding the rights object using a common encryption key, embedding the encrypted information regarding the rights object into a signal to be transmitted to a portable storage device, and transmitting the signal to the portable storage device. A device requests information regarding a rights object from a portable storage device, receives the information regarding the rights object from the portable storage device, and removes an unnecessary rights object.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil pour acquérir et éliminer des informations concernant un objet de droits numériques. Ce procédé pour acquérir et éliminer des informations concernant un objet de droits numériques consiste à recevoir une demande de données sur un objet de droits émise par un dispositif, à traiter les données sur l'objet de droits en réponse à cette demande et à fournir les données traitées au dispositif. Le procédé pour éliminer un objet de droits numériques consiste à sélectionner des informations concernant un objet de droits à éliminer, à chiffrer les informations sélectionnées concernant cet objet de droits au moyen d'une clé de chiffrement commune, à intégrer les informations chiffrées concernant cet objet de droits dans un signal à émettre vers un dispositif de stockage portable et à émettre ce signal vers ledit dispositif de stockage portable. Un dispositif demande au dispositif de stockage portable des informations concernant un objet de droits, reçoit du dispositif de stockage portable les informations concernant l'objet de droits puis élimine un objet de droits inutile.
