An electrical connector (10) assembly is provided including first and second housings (14, 22) having ends configured to receive electrical contacts. The first and second housings are configured to be matable with one another to join corresponding electrical contacts. The electrical connector assembly includes a lever member (18) having a cam arm received by the first housing and engaging the second housing as the lever member is rotated through a range of motion from an insertion position to an engaged position. The lever member connects the first and second housings to join corresponding electrical contacts when the lever member is rotated to the engaged position. The lever member has a position assurance tab (94) received by a catch (42) in the first housing.
L'invention concerne un ensemble connecteur électrique (10) comportant un premier et un second boîtiers (14, 22) dont les extrémités sont conçues pour loger des bornes électriques. Les premier et second boîtiers sont conçus pour s'apparier de façon à se raccorder à des bornes électriques correspondantes. L'ensemble connecteur électrique comporte un élément levier (18) dont un bras de came est logé dans le premier boîtier et qui vient en prise avec le second boîtier lorsque l'élément levier tourne dans une plage de déplacement allant d'une position d'insertion vers une position de contact. L'élément levier relie le premier et le second boîtier pour raccorder les bornes électriques correspondantes lorsque l'élément levier tourne vers la position de contact. L'élément levier possède une languette (94) d'assurance de position reçue par une prise (42) dans le premier boîtier.
